DEAR FRIEND,
My name is Carla Carter and I am the
Program Director for Prologue Inc,
Adult Education Center. Our program
consists of three GED and Adult Basic
Education preparation sites for students
between the ages of sixteen and older,
and one ESL(English as a Second Language)
site for people whose 1st language is not english!
The mission of our center is to respond to the
educational needs of adolescents and adults
in the chicago area, who have not attained a
high school diploma. We offer a learning
environment that provides opportunities
to improve reading, writing, math, social
and employment skills that will lead to a
student's greater self-actualization
and empowerment.
Prologue Adult Education Center is a volunteer driven program that utilizes community
residents, local business partnerships, college
and university participants, and civic
and community service organizations.
